@catterfly mother 3 is one of the few games that's managed to get a really deep emotional response from us and that's just. it's outstanding and yet I simultaneously never want to play it again even though we didn't finish it because I don't want to go through that again

i think i ended up watching someone finish it in an lp, and it was easier to take in filtered through the player.
i listen to the random encounter music a lot, though, they're all big jams.
@catterfly because of the music-based combo system, the battle music in mother 3 is really something, it gets progressively more unsteady and unhinged as the game goes on and probably has the record for most ridiculous time signature in video game music history with this one: https://youtu.be/wgIRaLHLug0

@catterfly I think it works out to be a still ridiculous but not quite so bad compound time signature if you work through it
