gov't can't find a credit record attached to my ssn. guess who has a legitimate credit score of N/A lmfao
@Felthry it's? complicated? i've never had a credit card, so ofc i have N/A credit, but some employers (and anything w/r/t a loan) rely on you having Good Credit (which is itself a representation of how trustworthy you are with debt/fake money)
i have no credit history, so employers/any future loans have no idea if i'm trustworthy moneywise!
*i* know that i am, but i'd need to prove it to Capitalism via a card
thankfully, having good credit isn't necessary for the job that requested the check
@catterfly ah, okay. I am utterly terrified of being in debt so i avoid it however possible.
@Felthry points gently. that's exactly why i've never gotten a card, lmao. i can legally claim Absolutely No Debt right now, which is a lot better than a lot of folk in their 20's can, college or not.
@catterfly yeah, same here. I was lucky enough to have a well-off family so they've supported me through school and into graduate-level education. I've used a debit card a bunch, but never a credit card
@catterfly I know less than nothing about finance, is that good or bad
