I asked for insight into how to help victims of harassment, and was sent this article:
Besides the advice I was looking for, it also mentions things from an organization's perspective (specifically from a convention organizer's perspective, but this can be applied generally): Fix the missing stair. Don't whisper around it, warn people in private... just get rid of it.
