FYI, https://github.com/Chocobozzz/PeerTube/issues/1179 is still getting comments, and several people seem to have difficulty seeing a purpose to the feature requested.

If anybody wants to chime in, this would probably be a good time. (I would suggest doing so as respectfully as possible, however, as it appears there's been some angry folks and/or BFAs antagonizing the project owner, and GitHub discussions are high on the "only polite can be correct" anyway factor, seems like.)
