The pineapple welcome thing really annoys me tbh. I'm sure it's genuinely meant to be welcoming, but it's such an obtuse inside joke that no one will understand what it means if they're not already familiar with Mastodon culture. It feels like it's reminding new people they're outsiders, rather than actually welcoming them!
