Did you know there’s a PS2 game where you write songs, and it puts them to an enka tune and has a polar bear sing them? https://youtu.be/IxAa6GmhMV0
Hers is even a Silvia for fuck’s sake, and mine has been fitted with Silvia parts. It’s perfect.
I make some really great finds at the local stores, I've got to say! I'm really grateful for that.
Currently listening to Kei Ogura’s 残された憧憬 - a lovely folk/enka album from 1974. https://youtu.be/6LGTtbB_EAo
@oceangrunge@witches.town just linked me to the (real!!) sprites from the canned Garou 2, and I’m FURIOUS we didn’t get this. Orochi Yamazaki! That muay thai fighter! omg this would have been amazing. https://awoo.space/media/PjrFcYV5TjKfNuxwTJw
Rage of the Dragons itself never got a home port thanks to Evoga's ca 2002 bankruptcy. I'm not sure what its legal status was at that point, or who owned the rights.
Incidentally, that same Evoga website teases a sequel to Rage of the Dragons (their second game) sometime in 2007. Nothing more was ever seen or said than this one teaser image on their homepage. I'd love to know what they had plans. https://awoo.space/media/lwAg9MFPHP_I6OtYXzQ
It's also one of only two games made for Brezzasoft's Crystal System arcade hardware, which they intended to be a NeoGeo successor. Presumably those ambitions got cut short when Brezzasoft rejoined SNK Playmore. Evoga's next game was also a NeoGeo game rather than a Crystal System game, and co-developed with a different ex-SNK offshoot.
Co-developed with Japan's Brezzasoft (made up of ex-SNK staff, who later rejoined SNK Playmore), Evolution Soccer's basically a spiritual successor to Neo Geo Cup '98 with a bit of a more KOF-style aesthetic. It honestly looks like a good game! https://youtu.be/_4nbWoJipTY
In 2007, Evoga had this teaser image for an otherwise unannounced “Evolution Soccer Club Edition”. http://web.archive.org/web/20070825144721/evogae.com
Undumped has no further info on it. Was it location-tested? Was it never otherwise shown publicly? I’d love to know! https://mamedev.emulab.it/undumped/index.php?title=Evolution_Soccer_-_Club_Edition
This would have been a sequel to Evoga's (released) 2001 game Evolution Soccer.
Looks like this was closed as a WONTFIX in December: https://github.com/tootsuite/mastodon/issues/354 But I wonder if there's another way around this. Is @username@ actually a valid format? Is it still considered a feature, not a bug, to have a semi-qualified username with an @ but no domain?
It would definitely be higher-effort but I would basically wear any of the clothes that Ayukawa wears in Orange Road.
THIS IS KIND OF AN AMAZING CONCEPT https://twitter.com/moby_dickhead/status/858769097017917442
omg, I get why. There's a user named `@_` on mastodon.social, so `@_@` is being treated as an @mention.
Sleepy but powerful
