mourning; writing
I was reminded while reading her bibliography and a related quote that Ursula K. LeGuin didn't really kick off her writing career in earnest until she was 35.
I'm 42. And Peg and I were writing Five Glasses of Absinthe, the first work of mine I'd really consider *remotely* serious or professional, by 2007.
There's no shame in starting slow and nothing stopping me from here. Thank you, Aunt Ursula, for that final gift. I hope you are somewhere, somehow, and it's nice.
