@Leucrotta My first exposure to that song was in a DOS program called "Muzak" that just played dumb songs via PC speaker.
The only one with lyrics was to the tune of that song, and went:
"If I had computer,
wouldn't have to go to work
so very early in the day.
All day long I'd tippy tippy tap,
if I had an IBM-XT!"
@Oneironott Oh, I actually have a copy of that one. It's neat! Very abstract in style, but I liked what I saw.
@starkatt I still don't know why anyone doesn't just shorten the shortened term and call them "lion batteries". :-P
@glowbold Is that why your icon is quivering? :-)
I'm down just south of downtown and saw "Foxycuts Salon"! With the phone number's last four digits just being "FOXY". @starkatt @almost anyone on vulpine.club
@Leucrotta *nodnods* I just know that when I was last in a state like that, having a plan or even something to look ahead to helped a /lot/ with the intervening time.
I don't know if your head works the same way, but it was worth mentioning. :-)
@Leucrotta Also: if you get up here and need help navigating the low-income housing options, poke me. I have recent experience with such.
@Leucrotta "two /more/months"?
Nah. "Only two months /remaining/", ideally.
@troodon Payment for a job well done! :-)

@kauko I love that second image. :-)

My day:
-No-show on manager for lease signing. No info or call back all day.
-Neutral at start, sliding ito soreness and tired over the day, as I do all the things. Usual Wednesday.
-Mood failing when trying to talk to boss about something. Break taken. Somewhat recovered.
-Flagging a bit, read some comics away from counter. Helped. Took my extra Adderall.
- Me: "think I'm stabilizing"
-almost immediately after: angry yelling at bus for stupid petty stuff
Now: food. -_-
@itsnero I'd say check out the Exploratorium, a really sweet hands-on science museum I grew up with that's only gotten cooler over time...but, that's like a whole day's worth almost, right there.
@irisjaycomics @itsnero I was born there! But I don't disagree with any of those appellations. :-D
Besides which, I got out of there like 15 years ago, been in the NW since!
@Oneironott I don't usually either. but the question and coming up with the answer certainly gave me those feels! :-)
@Oneironott Politely folded down, unfanned, mostly to protect my butt. It's cold out here!
My hoodie has a long flap I can unbutton and flip down over the top which helps, but I have to keep the feathers close to my pants because there's no such flap underneath. My usual fiery warmth can't help in this weather. Even my wings are bundled up!
(Besides, it's not proper to catch fire on a public bus..)
@Rosemary I know that one all too well. I grew up part of the Seventh Day Adventist church, which both worships on Saturday (the seventh part) and has a lot of beliefs regarding the second coming (Adventist).

Relatedly: I hadn't caught up on here since yesterday or Sunday, and I come back to find ~630 messages. A lot of those being boosts from various people I follow. :-/
@makyo I love "downtempo librarian" as a thing. :-D
