@noiob I've got a ps1 debugging station and I'm guessing the ps2 one is similar and just has some extra ram and natively supports playing burned CD-Rs

@dog some. its more or less a database of text files, fmvs, and audio clips. it's the audio clips that are the hard part

@dog there was some existing attempts that tried to hard embed subtitles into the fmvs and background images but that approach didn't work all that well psx.lain.pl

@dog I've started reading up on the ps1 hardware / programming but I haven't really looked at the disc layout for the game yet

@dog I've been thinking about doing this for the serial experiments lain ps1 game. there's already an english translation so it'd mostly be hacking in a subtitles engine

Hey, do what you need to do to stay safe and warm and good today. You matter, your health (physical and mental) and safety matter. Some quick reminders:
- try to keep a snack on hand
- make sure you eat real food too
- stay hydrated
- make sure you get enough sleep
- try to take a walk outside if you can

the TIC-80 fantasy console is pretty neat. I'm a lot more interested now that it's open source :)

three weeks later and I'm still thinking about the twin peaks finale

maybe I should try to clean up / convert my light theme. it would be really neat if an instance included it
