I needed a doorstop but Target only had transparent ones. I guess traditional brown doorstops stand out too much... like what you’d want a doorstop to do.

I have been fibro-flaring quite a lot lately and I've started needing my cane a lot more. I'm also looking into getting a disabled parking permit. I feel like this is a threshold that I was hoping to never reach.

Fibromyalgia sucks. I really suggest never having it.

@digitalfox @Azure oh also one time I had a cheap power strip fall apart and its internal construction was surprisingly similar to the 1940s power strip, with full-length rails going the whole way down instead of having discretely wired sockets. I wonder how many power strips are actually built that way.

also I've seen some truly horrific power hacks with people doing things like running lamp cord through the little holes on the ends of polarized plugs

@digitalfox @Azure yeah "pigtail" extension cords are a thing I use way too much and I kind of hate how much of a mess they make. I also have way too much stuff plugged into some of my outlets via power strips in general and like. Gah why is power so hard

(and why does everything do its own AC->DC conversion? I wish USB-as-power-bus were more popular for things that aren't tiny)

@srol yeah I was ultimately pretty disappointed with it, they could have done something way more interesting with how the cycle got broken or having F&J come to a The Good Place-like realization or something

like it kind of felt like The Good Place but with less actual meaning

I think the controls for it should be a slider bar that you have to drag left and right to indicate your diaphragm position

but you have to carefully slide the mouse pointer to stay on the track or else you cause a bronchiospasm

oh wow it turns out that Synology Surveillance Station only comes with licenses for two cameras? And additional licenses are $60/camera? What the hell!
