TINY CUTE LIZARDS EVERYWHERE. ON THE SIDEWALKS. ON THE LIGHTPOSTS. IN THE BUSHES. -EVERYWHERE-.

seriously I might die of cute tiny lizard overload. also saw a snowy egret and a great blue heron just hanging out in a ditch. and LIGHTNING.

now sleep. :D

had a close encounter with an ibis, who was just hanging out on a walkway. TRASH CHICKEN

saw a least bittern! and I think a grackle. my spellcheck is being a butt with all these bird names.

given my thing with Thoth, I'm endlessly pleased at the abundance of ibises here. also I spotted one of the lizards doing a red throat display!

oh and Disney stuff, yey.

I'd never even heard of a bird called an "anhinga" before, but they're all over the place here. also I need to take pictures of the abundant trash chickens. :D

WELP.

evidently Irma is supposed to get here Monday morning, but by then it should ~only~ be a category 2. Disneyworld is staying open! and we'll be here! it'll be a vacation to remember! o_________o wish us luck!

I have taken pictures of so many birds omg

also I just spent a half-hour floating in a pool pretending to be an alligator. I don't think anybody else in the pool got the reference. I didn't really care. it was FANTASTIC.

@green I last went to Orlando some 15 years ago, visiting Disney, and my favorite thing about the entire trip, and what I remember second-most vividly, was the tiny lizards. :D

@green

Come to Austin and I'll show you a hundred-thousand grackles, and let you experience the noise they can generate

It's impressive

@ThatDamnCat there was just one, it only had one foot (the other was a stump) but it was very well-fed. XD
