@mawr for some reason the first thing that came to mind (once I understood what you meant; at first I thought "if you could gain any physical skill *and ability*" and had my usual "flying or invisibility?" quandry) was tatting/lace-making. I've done a little tiny bit of it a long time ago, and very much enjoyed it. it's my spider side maybe? XD

@mawr hmmmm. I keep thinking about this and I really can't think of anything. like, I can think up plenty, and reasons why, but it's all whim, and there's nothing to decide between them, y'know?

the downside of cleaning up my desk area is the amount of dust it kicks up. so much sneezing. ;_____;

@tas@compassion.online it's less a matter of working through them, and more, like, "I need something to organize these loose papers better. oh, like those standing-up paper-organizer things! yes, I would actually *use* one of those now, for its intended purpose!" XD

I think I may have finally reached the point in my life where I know how to actually make use of office supplies. I'd been impulse-buying and hoarding them for over a decade when I made myself stop. I'm gradually making use of the ones I have left, and thinking about adding a few more, which I will actually use...

@rotatingskull @kara_dreamer@witches.town @Ulfra_Wolfe@witches.town I know a few people who own houses and who are very much not rich. they're doing ok, with reasonably reliable, steady incomes, the majority of which is now going towards that house. :/ if they ever lose their jobs, or get disabled or something... *shiver* I'm not sure I'd be willing to risk buying a house, even if I could afford it, y'know?

@kara_dreamer@witches.town @Ulfra_Wolfe@witches.town it's utterly infuriating that the people who are *actually living in fucking luxury* (I'm sorry if you own MORE THAN ONE HOUSE you are RICH) are the ones bitching about "why do poor people even have refrigerators??? or TVs or health care??? why are they not living in holes in the ground eating grubs and grass???"

OH MY GOSH one of the Cooper's hawklings missed a grab at a bird on our porch and perched on the railing! only for like 2 seconds but Spouse & I both saw it! SO COOL

@Ulfra_Wolfe@witches.town @kara_dreamer@witches.town I lived off a food bank for a while, and...yeah. it was always such a weird pot luck of what we'd get. one time we got 2 24-piece trays of slightly stale chocolate cream cupcakes.

@green it's a local outage, about 6 blocks around us. Yay I didn't blow the fuses! :P

aaaand boom, the power went off. dunno if it's our apartment fuse/circuits or local outage...

went to cat store to pick up cat food and (it's a vet/store) somebody was bringing in a kitten in this HUGE carrier, and the kitten was sitting right at the door, looking through the wire at me, and it was like I was being hit in the forebrain with a fuzzy kitten mallet. TINY FLUFFY KITTEN SO CUTE WANT TO PET DO NOT PET IT'S TILTING ITS HEAD AT ME OMGOMGOMGOGM *synapses fuse*
