so after ALL THAT GODDAMN REP GRINDING I now have to go LEVELGRIND a character I'm never going to touch again on a server I don't use. /headdesk

last night I finally FINALLY finished grinding up the damn rep for Army of the Light, to make a shiny Draenei, and thought I'd treat myself by going over and rolling one right away. and I couldn't. because I didn't have the achievement. because in order to complete the achievement I NEED A LEVEL 110 ALLIANCE CHARACTER.

my highest-level Alliance alt is a 100 hunter. on a server cluster I don't use any more because it's effectively dead.

I FEEL THIS WAS NOT ADEQUATELY EXPLAINED.

tbh the giant rattlesnake dream was almost certainly inspired by the Glitch Mob cover art to "We Can Make The World Stop" https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/we-can-make-the-world-stop-ep/445708663

... although it was close enough to get me easily. I had some vague idea that you could determine the age of a rattlesnake by the number of rattles on its tail, and another dream-person and I counted them as the giant snake moved, but we only saw nine.

nothing else coherent or memorable, really, but those parts were neat. :D

in one part of the dream my bedding was infested with tiny (fly-sized) lizards. I was upset, because they were ADORABLE and I was afraid that I'd roll over and squish a bunch of them, and I wanted to save as many as possible.

in another part I was out in some scrubby almost-desert and saw a snake pile. in the middle of the pile, all tangled up with the other snakes, was a *huge* rattlesnake; its body was about two feet thick. I didn't feel frightened at all...

oh yeah I forgot to mention I dreamed that Amazon started offering a new service: Amazon.com Murder Exchange. see you sign up and put in the name and location (and picture) of the person you want killed, and front a certain amount of cash, and then you get assigned a person close to you who you have to kill, and somebody else gets assigned your target. you get paid for it too, Amazon just skims a percentage off the top for facilitating the arrangement. :|

made a second try at chicken stoup, it went very well again! next I have to look up some actual recipes, so I can make something a bit different... nothing wrong with the stoup, but it could get samey if it's all we're eating for a couple of weeks until Spouse is capable of cooking again.

@literorrery I mean... my hands aren't clean by any means, I'm still living in Omelas--but I do what I can to reduce the harm I do. after doing that job for--less than a year, I can only imagine myself quitting and dedicating my knowledge and experience to *changing the system* instead of passively handing down death sentences and "feeling bad" about it. I personally would not be able to live with that choice.
