for those of you wondering about the "Tyrfing" thing last night: it's a sword from Norse mythology, also something something Castlevania something Fire Emblem. I'm thinking of using it in my fic, but wanted to make sure I didn't immediately get flooded with "oh it's that one thing from $GAME!" associations, but it looks like it's obscure enough that I'm good. XD

(tooting from bed shut up) does the word "Tyrfing" have any strong or immediate associations for you? (without looking it up)

I voted last week. VOTE BY MAIL, BABY, WOOOO!

and then tried to look up the election results today and realized *tomorrow* is "election day," I'm not sure quite how that works for an area that's gone entirely vote-by-mail--I guess they can't call it for sure until the last ballots have trickled in with the correct post-by date? iunno.

Washoe County's online resources report no voting opportunities until locals open in 2018, but I checked just in case.

Y'all gotta remember that not every state has the same schedule when posting reminders, though.
