sooooo Skyrim runs a *lot* better on my laptop than on my desktop, which isn't exactly surprising since my laptop is like twice the computer my desktop is. welp! I guess if I'm gonna be playing Skyrim I'll be doing it on the laptop, so I better clear off the small desk and get it set up for playing...
tree fluffing (longish)
Spouse and I got a medium-small fake Xmas tree, and set it up after he got home. I started unfluffing the branches (it's a thing you have to do with fake trees), but realized that the xmas lights that were included with the tree were wound all around and through the branches, making them infinitely more difficult to fluff. so I just spent the last fifteen minutes untangling the xmas lights from the branches. and then I needed to STOP AND DO SOMETHING ELSE FOR A WHILE
to-do list, mostly done, and pondering
things I feel like I *should* do:
* write
* write more dammit
* no really keep writing
* go to store (NO! doing that TOMORROW DAMMIT)
* probably something involving debt collection or something idk
* get mail (TOMORROW DAMMIT)
* clean fridge (???)
* I DON'T KNOW (anxiety)
* WWWRRRRRIIIIIIITTTTEEEEEEE

some of the juncos have been trying to figure out how to get suet out of the feeder. juncos are ground-feeders; they aren't evolved to hang and feed, like chickadees or woodpeckers. so it's kind of funny but also kind of sad to watch them grab onto the feeder cage and flutter madly while trying to get a beakfull of suet...
I put seed down on the porch floor for them, and now they're much happier. XD
nope, not quite done. I coaxed Nar out with treats, and now both of them are sitting in the hallway looking very spooked. poor boys.

Pooka is slinking around staring at the ceiling with his ears and tail down. I think Nar has vanished under the bed, but I'm not sure--when a black cat decides to vanish, he can do a remarkably comprehensive job of it.
and now they're clumping around sweeping up the leaves that weren't picked up by the leafblower. yay alarmed cats!
today's questions:
* what do I need to do today?
* can I just go back to sleep instead?
* do I want coffee?
* do I want coffee badly enough to accept the inevitable side effects of drinking coffee?
* no really, do I want coffee *that* much?
* what do I need to do this week?
* has Skyrim been downloaded on my laptop yet?
* no really coffee??
