@Ratttz This is SUCH a good take. For various reasons I had to read Frankenstein for school no less than three times, and I was always trying to make points like these, only to be met by blank stares pretty much always.

And, I"m back. With antlers. A bit early this year, maybe. And also with... a whole solstice myth, shoved straight into my head, about community, and song, and guiding light out of the darkness. But it's not quite time to tell that one, yet.

Here's what it all comes down to though. I'm here for you all, a cuddly warm winter-enduring critter, sharing glow and light and heat as best I can. And more importantly, we're all here for each other, each one of us helping keep all of us warm in the dark.

Every Monday night I spend an hour at my altar. Dancing, reading, meditating, drumming... Generally trying to work out the right ways to do... what I do.

Tonight, even more than usual, I'm going to be focussing on my community. Whatever I can do to bolster us, in the midst of loss, and grief, and pain. What I can do in this time, and what I can take from this time to do more otherwise too.

You are lovely.
You are glorious.
You deserve good things.

OMG I've met so many new folks through here this year, and I get to tell you all about Glowtide. ^.^

Glowtide is the postfurry-standard winter-solstice celebration! In the Neptunian and Downwarp calendars, is it marked by a period of intercalary days around the darkest point in the year, and traditionally includes a ritual where we gather up a bunch of folks and treats and most importantly ✨​GLOWY✨​STUFF✨ to help encourage the light to start coming back!

(Yes I guess that means my antlers are growing in. How does that even happen on a plushie? Must be a Glowtide miracle. ^.^)

I'm gonna start listening to holiday music today and no one can stop me. Samhain is over, Glowtide starts now. ^.^
