Thoughts from a conversation in another venue:
MOBAs and Team Shooters seem to have ended up with a pretty clear shared aesthetic: Stylized, glowy, diverse morphology (read: Cool animal people and robots and stuff). This aesthetic is REALLY APPEALING to me, but I cannot play the games worth a darn. I wonder if this will ever spread beyond those genres.
Basically: When can I get a game with cute glowy furries that I can actually play? c.c;
Multiculturalism 👍: When the only thing I'm anxious about when mentioning my spiritual observances to my boss is the possibility of a philosophical debate about the differences between his polytheism (Hindu) and mine.

Yesterday Gargron helped me get his take on the project, so that I can write a mission statement. But, I would also love to hear your take, so I can combine the two into our collective statement.
This is me trying to be more transparent with the process.
Feel free to help me answer these questions:
1. What does Mastodon mean to you?
2. Where do you want to see the project go?
3. How do you talk about Mastodon with your friends?
In PRACTICE, I am now going to find a dark corner to curl up in with a plushie. -.-
Data point: Even when I come out of a job interview with the recruiter outright saying "You are awesome, you should get this role" ... I still feel exhausted and emotionally wrung out.
In theory, this actually says something helpful about my reactions to things in general, which is that my emotions have little to do with the actual facts behind something, so I can deal with them as emotions rather than stress out about finding out the facts.
In theory. :P
Dysphoria grump
Oh cool turns out it's also chest-dysphoria day, which means hiding from all my friends' media sharing posts, which means even less socializing, cooool.
Brain hack: spread out a job interview over several days so that each one can have all the stress of an Important Interview day, but without the sense of accomplishment at the end.
Oh, wait, are brain hacks supposed to be GOOD things.
...well then.
Surprised it took me this long to see someone playing a Switch on the bus.
*thinking* I SUPPOSE it's nice that cryptology persona names are often feminine.
...Too bad it seems like the feminine names are more often the bad actors.
Spirituality
When I sit at my altar, if I do it right and my guides are with me, I go somewhere…
where crumbling cities have been reclaimed by people and nature
where the in-between and the abandoned can find community and support
where spiritworkers bond with gods who themselves wandered in from far-off places where they didn’t fit
where entropy is a constant companion, inspiring one and all to build better, cleverer, bolder
where urban spirits crowd the night, and we all dance together.
Being able to switch a conversation into and out of DMs is an excellent feature that I an unfortunately very prone to screwing up. ;P
