I think the thing that sucks MOST about this week is that I wish I could be more emotionally resilient about it. Other folks can apparently brush this off, so why do I internalize it so much?

It would make my life so much easier to be less bothered, but how does that work

It feels both demoralizing and insane to have the thought "Why can't I just let strangers be mean to me and not take it personally?" multiple times a week.

Like, I'm a rep for a company sure, but I'm not solely responsible for company policies, I'm trying to help

It makes me really sympathetic when I'm dealing with a company with terrible customer service (like, say, Xfinity). The person I'm speaking to is not at fault, and I realize they're probably in the same position I am -- trapped in a situation they can't really change

And if having to deal with company policies that force you to make people angry and frustrated and unhappy to protect profits you don't see doesn't make you anti-capitalist, I don't know what to tell you.
