the Cards Against Humanity details here are horrifying but I'd also like to draw attention to the fact that the white psychiatrist on the mental ward told this Black man that his experiences of racism were delusional and that he had to agree with them before they'd let him out https://twitter.com/cartamonir/status/1276721346677014528

TL;DR: Cards Against Humanity fired a Black employee for objecting to a card with the n-word on it, and conspired to keep him locked up in a mental hospital afterwards. https://twitter.com/CartaMonir/status/1276721346677014528

Hi! I’m opening a pretty massive donation goal to replace my broken laptop 💦
I’m still in the thick of completing commissions from some months ago, so I can’t open comms yet, but for now I’m hoping I can call for help (this is a lot of money) 🥣🥣🏙🏢

One of the things that makes discourse about abuse so difficult is that claiming abuse can be an abuse tactic, too. See: Conflict Is Not Abuse: Overstating Harm, Community Responsibility, and the Duty of Repair. https://twitter.com/girlsgutsgiallo/status/1275295873652551680

Like, standing up for your work-life balance or the ability to do your job well is often translated as "not wanting to do the work" or "not working well with others".
So it's either do a crappy rush job or devote more and more time to figuring out how to do it well. Ugh.
And complaining about the fact that it's messed up for both the worker and the customer to be set up for failure like that is viewed as my problem, not a genuinely crappy practice that should not have happened.
You have to pretend to be "grateful for the opportunity"
