I figured I had 4 HP from my leftover continues so I'd give it a shot. I didn't back up my save because I figured I'd just lose and start fresh on stream or something.

It came down to the wire and I figured I still had another few hits to go, but it was actually the last hit after all :P

well, I put the ending up on YT because I missed streaming it yesterday because it refused to capture (and it auto plays very aggressively) and I went to translate the text in the cutscene... I've still got a lot of work to do because there's a lot of it, but... "sors salutis" is what I have so far, apparently latin for "the lot of salvation I guess? time to see what the rest of this says, I'll post what I have as I get more stuff lol

It took me about 2 weeks of major binge streams, but after 96 hours, I finished up my streamed 1.6 playthrough.

I'm genuinely really amazed at how with every update, ConcernedApe has left me with a feeling of "wow, so much was added this patch that I don't even want to think about playing previous patches any more!" This absolutely held true for 1.6, and it was a lot of fun exploring all of the new stuff and feeling all of the quality of life changes.

There was definitely a lot of waffling around, and a lot of this was extra time spent for exploring and engaging with mechanics that I don't often mess around with. I think my next major Stardew things will be a multiplayer farm, and maybe a riverland farm thanks to a simple-but-major buff it received. :P

so I'm kinda the first person that I'm aware of that's routed out a speedrun for this. This was my third attempt - after my last one, I was expecting I'd improve like... 3 or 4 minutes at a time maybe and slowly push to sub 2 hours, not rocket nearly 20 minutes ahead all at once haha

so anyway, I guess Dark Lord for the Famicom is under 2 hours now :P

I improved my 27:29 to a 27:02 in The Battle of Olympus! I was really hoping I could manage a 26, but I'm still pretty happy with this.

Most of the timesave comes from some better strats in Tartarus and a major skip in Hades Temple that Feasel found (with a bit of discussion with Clymax for the skip).

I'm now feeling a hell of a lot better about throwing more attempts at this in the future and taking bigger risks now that I've got this big of an improvement under my belt. Hopefully with some time I'll get that low/mid 26.
