silly thing that happened in relink, maybe kinda lewd I guess? lmao

I've been kinda vaguely poking at the new final boss in Relink and he's pretty much just an edgy twink

I finished off the fight with a big team attack, and this game does the whole kingdom hearts thing of "game slows down and zooms in on the final hit for cool cinematic effect"

but this time, since he flinched and bent forward a little bit on the final hit, the way the camera zoomed in was right on his ass, which was only made funnier when the text from the big team attack showed up and said "TOTAL DAMAGE 9999999" right above his ass

I really wish I was fast enough to take a screenshot of that because it sent me, lmao

more battle of olympus attempts, let's see if the olives are in our favor today

twitch stream

twitch.tv/karma_dragoness

Doing some Battle of Olympus attempts again tonight, and if the olives are rude I'll open some chests in Mimic Logic

offline-only relink file

Not that I think anyone would particularly care that I'm making progress off-stream, but I'm doing a bit of afk-farming for fortitude crystals before my next stream of my offline-only file since it's a lot of waiting around on defense quests, which isn't particularly exciting for streaming :P

did a few off-stream mimic logic runs

standard 4: failed on floor 15 (of 30) because I had the right logic but misread what a chest was calling out and meant to mark it as a mimic instead of a normal chest

standard 4 attempt 2: success! barely scraped by and had to skip a lot of chests thanks to unfortunate 50/50s and I got scared of a "leave this floor in 90 seconds or you will die" that I couldn't determine if it was a mimic or a chest quickly, lmao

standard 5: lost on floor 40-ish (of 50) because I didn't recognize a 50/50, heck.

expert 1: pretty smooth clear! I had to think a bit harder compared to standard 1, but not as hard as standard 4/5. looking forward to showing it off next time I stream.

anyway, brain hurt, good night lmao

playing some more granblue relink on my offline-only file! we're in postgame now, so the game's actually started lol

also I can't play logic games in a call with anyone because I 100% need to talk over everything to make sure it's the only thing in my brain LOL

two phrases I've overused since playing Mimic Logic yesterday:

"and that's TOO many mimics!"
"This HAS to be right."

Going live with Mimic Logic which is... a strangely compelling... roguelite logic game?? not a phrase I really ever expected to utter, but here we are, I guess :P

speedrunning pb

so I'm kinda the first person that I'm aware of that's routed out a speedrun for this. This was my third attempt - after my last one, I was expecting I'd improve like... 3 or 4 minutes at a time maybe and slowly push to sub 2 hours, not rocket nearly 20 minutes ahead all at once haha

so anyway, I guess Dark Lord for the Famicom is under 2 hours now :P

twitch stream

twitch.tv/karma_dragoness

Hey! I'm trying a new speedrun that's actually not all that much a surprise if you've been looking at my streams recently lmao.

(That's right, it's Dark Lord!)

Dark Lord (NES/Famicom game)

So I went through and got *most* of the triggers figured out for all the quests in Dark Lord. It turns out the listed effects for some of the skills actually *do* work and my previous tests were maybe messed up.

Critical as a skill definitely seems to improve your crit rate quite a bit - my character who had it crit a lot more than my character who didn't.

Scroll definitely let my fighter use spells, but only *after* I moved into the field - when I initially tried to check what spells she knew in town, it acted as if she couldn't cast any.

and the one I'm most excited about, assuming I'm correct:
Hispell seems to actually let you learn the ancient magic! If you have this skill, you can actually read the text and learn the spells! It's a little unfortunate that the text is so late in the game that you'll have like 5 monsters you can use these spells on, since you get it basically near the end of the second-to-last chapter. :P
