I've been struggling to feel fulfilled with my current ortho-job. I have my 40 hours split between two separate locations on opposite ends of Seattle and one of those locations does everything it can to make doing my job as annoying as possible. So I've been looking for a new one. And a few hours ago I got extended an offer for a new one that is going to be so much work, but a chance to really do my Aspect and Attribute well. I hope it will, anyway.

I get to build custom gaming computers for people. I'd have a really flexible configurator and a website that would let users see a dynamic preview of their new box as they choose different options. I'd even have options to let customers watch me stream as i worked in my shop cutting custom panels and assembled the hardware.

Something slipped past my firewalls and is currently destroying my productivity by… oh fuck it. I'm just sick. I really don't want it to be another month long cold like it was last year.

So, in my dream, i concocted a new electro-bong. It is based off a aquarium filter, with a wide oval mouthpiece on the back and the connector for the vape cart on top (standard threading). The vapor would pass through internal cooling vanes like a radiator before getting drawn into the water for further cooling, leading to a much stronger hit. I had two pulls in my dream and watched my face slide off in a mirror. Then I had a 3rd. I was completely sober at bed time, too.

mom (thinking I'm still in WA): Do you know who you're talking to?

So, I'm choosing to miss Bandaza this year in order to visit my dad back in MN. We have a family tradition of hanging out together the day after thanksgiving. We called it "Buddies' Day." My little brother continued the tradition after i left for CA, but since he just graduated and started his at Drake, Dad would've been by himself. I think he wasn't looking forward to that, cause he actually mentioned it a few month's ago when I called back home. Mom and Dad don't know i'm coming.

6. These skills require their own tools that I take great joy from using.
7. These skills give the greatest joy when used in the service of others repairing their own tools.
8. That is why I went into IT. Because the technology we made as a species contains some of our finest toolsets for creation.
9. And creation, the act of expressing thought and desire and will and shaping the world and the universe around us is holy.

MDMA this weekend synthesized some words out of emotions and I'd like to share them.

1. Humans are tool makers and tool users.
2. Making and using tools is ESSENTIAL to human experience.
3. Tools do not come in only one form, but they are ALL important.
4. Tools must be maintained, properly cared for, and properly protected in order to fulfill their Karma.
5. I, personally, have developed and nurtured skills from my natural affinity with a certain set of tools.

I started crying remembering and reaffirming my Work and remembering why I love doing it. Jokes were made, kisses exchanged, love was shared and amplified, sent out and replied with in kind.

In closing, a very beneficial experience and I am very much looking forward to my next roll.
