@Mous The deeper problem is that there is no shared space which can accommodate everyone. There is no universally accepting shared space, because we don't all need the same things. The only universally accommodating environment is one that gives everyone their own bubble and the ability to decide with what and whom to interact.
So, the real question is: who are we prioritizing, and who are we choosing to exclude?

@literorrery Yeah it's..... not great. I can understand not wanting a societal expectation of "new parents spend additional money to make others more comfortable", because babies are pretty expensive to begin with? But "parents shouldn't be obligated to do this" and "parents doing this is inherently bad" are such vastly different takes.
