@KawaSeadrake I’m just really bitter about the sex stuff. They told me tons about STDs and pregnancy, but there was *one* mention of condoms and *no* mention of same-sex anything. It’s partly an age thing, so maybe this is my lucky reminder that things *did* get better.
God knows how many people we lost between then and now, though.
U.S. Sex Education is Bad
@Leucrotta @KawaSeadrake We don't and have never had "sex education" in this country; we managed procreation education and F.U.D. was tacked onto it as a(n ineffective) deterrent.
If we taught kids about CONSENT AS THE PRIMARY AND MOST IMPORTANT THING, I think our society would be a much more peaceful one.
Sex has more to do with the people than the act itself. I wish it were taught that way.
(I have many ironclad opinions on this subject.)
