Could you start an instance from a backup? Scaleway just ate my server.

Hey #MastoAdmin - what hosting providers do you recommend that aren't Scaleway?

My server's been "rebooting" for 5 hours now.

✨Plush✨ City is down due to what appears to be a hardware issue at Scaleway. I have attempted a hard reboot of the server without success. Scaleway support has not yet responded to my initial ticket reporting the outage.

We may be down for a while, friends. I might have to switch to a new hosting provider before this is resolved.

In the worst case scenario, I have a full server backup as of 5pm CST yesterday.

plush.city is currently down and unresponsive. I have not managed to get a response from support as for why this may be.

@Aradia@mastodon.social @mawr@plush.city Yeah, it's on our list of things to look into eventually-- but it's not high on the list. Kenmore/Lake Forrest Park/Northern Shoreline is basically a forest with some houses mixed in, and the trees in this forest aren't as stable as they used to be what with all the unseasonably heavy rains eroding away the soil.

Looks like an old growth cedar fell across 61st Ave and took our the power lines that feed our home.
