@Sparrow AAAA THAT IS AMAZING AAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!

You made that?!?!?! :D :D :D :D

Today I managed to write code that I'm proud of, and it only took shaving approximately 8 yaks to write.

In this codebase, that's almost a personal best.

I'mna go home and plush on my pupper. @kelseyhusky ♥️

More seriously, just... baseline anxiety and stress has been rather high these past few months and as a result I'm kind of tired all the time.

I'm so tired of.. *gestures to all the things*

organizing

since i didn't say, i'm currently working on this here affordableseattle.net/ which i urge all Seattleites to visit.

above and beyond legislative and electoral efforts, if we really get a good response from folks, we'd love to help build solid tenant organizations and get some fuckin' _rent strikes_ up in here.

down with the rentier class, housing is a human right!

@typhlosion Augh, I hate it when that happens. D: *gentle hugs on offer*

@Kortney Status privacy levels could also explain that-- you could be seeing toots in your Home column that have privacy set to "Unlisted" which would prevent them from showing up in the Local timeline.

@Ulfra_Wolfe@witches.town Ahh! In that case, you might try just try some post-wash product, like a de-tangler or a leave-in conditioner for a similar effect. ^^

@Ulfra_Wolfe@witches.town (The most useful thing about the coconut oil treatment is that it keeps your hair from frizzing out during the day. A much more dramatic comparison would be a day after shampoo and conditioner versus a day after coconut oil; the former would have the start of an afro while the latter would look more or less the same as they started out.)

Depressing news; Seattle; Police shooting

@Ulfra_Wolfe@witches.town Same. >..< I heard about that last night and just wanted to sink into the floor. *hugs of solidarity offered*

@Ulfra_Wolfe@witches.town Thick and curly hair can be really hard to work with; traditional hair care methods don't work well on it. The rule of thumb I've heard is to focus on frizz control by embracing (and contributing to) the greasiness, then focus on shaping the curls.

For that camp, coconut oil is a common suggestion for curly hair-- and never use shampoo. Just wash with lemon juice or similar.

@GlitchThief@cybre.space Thank you!!

I never realized just how helpful a good stylist can be. I was terrified of having my hair cut short, thinking it'd doom me to a more masculine presentation, but after finding an awesome stylist, I realized shorter hair actually looked more feminine on me.

Since I have a pretty masculine face, butch-feminine hair balances nicely to a fairly Non-Binary presentation-- but I can present very feminine with different styling. ^^

@kara_dreamer@witches.town @makyo @Ratttz @Ulfra_Wolfe@witches.town @GlitchThief@cybre.space Just a friendly reminder that all hair is different and what works for one type will be terrible for others.

I have super thin hair so instead of thinning shears some stylists will use a razor comb to provide a similar effect without thinning it more than it is already.

Also, my hair is greasy enough that I use conditioner before shampoo, washing every other day.
