Gosh, if Mastodon does nothing but piss off both Nazis and Tech Bros, then it'll already have been worth it.
Mastodon is what happens when technology is in the hands of minorities, who have waited way too long for other people to fix this shit, and just said "fuck it we are the cool kids in this place now and y'all Nazis can fuck off".

PSA: If you are in the web view of a remote instance of some user or toot, you cannot directly reply/boost/fav.
But you can copypaste the URL into your local Mastodon server's "Search" field, then it allows you to interact!
Wasn't obvious to me, so maybe boost this if it helped you. :)

Meh, hashtags seem to be implemented badly. In my opinion, a hashtag should mean that you broadcast to the whole fediverse, such that from everywhere, what's shown on hashtag is the same... https://mastodon.social/@Gargron/1669154
@Gargron is there any way to allow users to reply when they visit a thread or toot on a different instance? I see boost and fav buttons on here, but absolutely no way to reply to you...

Do server admins have to actively choose which other servers they federate with, or can toots be distributed over the network really? Like let's say A federates with B and C, but B and C don't directly federate, do toots from B reach C over A?
