Seahorses and sea dragons are related and are both kinds of fish; they're slow-moving but not sessile, and camouflage themselves among the kelp in which their food source - plankton and small crustaceans - lives. Both species are evolved from the pipefishes, which also live among the seaweed.
In seahorses, sea dragons, and pipefish, the male carries the young; seahorses and -dragons have no scales, and instead have skin stretched over scaly rings radiating from bony skeletons.
