@noiob Apparently HDMI over Ethernet is very much a Thing, but due to the large bandwidth difference it's not a very good Thing.
@onf I mean a cable is a cable so I guess something will end up on the other end
@noiob What I'm saying is that a lot of these adapters cheat and have a little chip inside that compresses the video so it can be transmitted via IP NETWORKING. And realtime compression on something of that size with its power limits is of course, really bad.

I have no idea what you posted does, surely not what I just described, but those do exist.
@noiob Gives me hope that by the time we get the next Ethernet standard (10gb?) it'll be fast enough that we can just send uncompressed HD video over IP. Very silly, but useful.
