so does anyone here know how to jailbreak a ps3
-F

@noiob whatever they call it for ps3,, jailbreak or hack or mod or whatever
-F

@noiob oh it's one of the slim ones if that's what you mean, with the top-loading drive
-F

@Felthry that one can't be permanently modded, unless you're below firmware 3.55

@noiob it says firmware 4.81

i guess you can't downgrade?

...is there any hard mod?
-F

@Felthry it's impossible to downgrade Super Slims, you can use PS3HEN to run game backups and some homebrew

@Felthry that's what your model is called, there's the original "fat" PS3, the Slim (the slimmer front-loader), and the Super Slim (the top-loader)

@Felthry I have no idea how PS3HEN works (I have a fully exploitable Slim, got it specifically because of this), so I don't feel comfortable pointing you anywhere specific, since there's a very real chance of getting your console banned from PSN and I guess maybe bricks? not sure

@noiob we've never once used psn

the reason we want to hack it is because it's saying we need to update it and we don't want to

@Felthry I don't think you can do anything about that with HEN because it's not a permanent modification

@Felthry also you'd run the newest hybrid firmware (HEN can't install full custom firmware) which would be functionally the newest firmware for the PS3

@Felthry oh right and also a PSN-ban is hardware-based so it'd significantly lower the value of your hardware, if you care about that
