anyone here able to help with getting retroarch working? specifically on a 3ds

@Felthry what kinda games are you trying to play? It might be easier to install standalone emulators or use twilight menu (which comes with a bunch of emulators)

@noiob specifically want to play Ys I&II Ancient Ys Vanished

the turbo-cd version is generally considered the definitive edition
-F

@Felthry hm, I can only find a standalone port for the old ones: github.com/bubble2k16/emus3ds/

it's irrelevant which specific model it is, they all have the same chips

@noiob we already have libretro's turbo-cd core, it just loads up to a black screen when we try to load the game
-F

@Felthry I'd try the standalone thing anyways, since it'll potentially let you configure more things than libretro and also I think retroarch's UI is awful

@Felthry oh, did you put the CD bios in the right spot?

@noiob i think? but someone else said maybe we have the wrong bios, they gave an md5 and it doesn't match

@Felthry there might be multiple different ones? idk I don't think I ever did anything related to the Turbografx-16
