@noiob ooooh pretty. gonna put cfw on it?
@cinnamon I kinda have to, it's from Japan xD
@cinnamon got any pointers as to what's the current method? I found sth that starts by telling me to run PSP Module Checker which doesn't run without CFW
@noiob this seems to be the optimal route for the 3000: https://revive.today/psp/infinity/
it'll require you to install the pro-c homebrew enabler (nonpermanent cfw) first which i use on my Go, then you can install Infinity to make it permanent
@cinnamon thanks! I might skip the Infinity step, since it's really not that much of a hassle to run one file after rebooting
@noiob np! this stuff used to be a mild special interest back in the day. i'm really excited to have a reason to think about it again haha
@noiob I just recently rewatched this and our conclusion is that this is how hacking really works, IF you live in the Marvel universe
@SkunkyLass it might not work that way, but that's how it feels
@noiob This is exactly it. It's coming from a place of at least some knowledge of how it works and feels (the callback to phone phreaking, for example) so all stylistic choices are deliberate and awesome.
which means I can now finally watch my favorite (and only) UMD movie!
