@onfy the PS2 has a setting for that iirc
@noiob "The PlayStation 2 and 3 use the same connector, except that the RGB lines double as component video. Switching between the two is handled in the system menu on both systems." https://gamesx.com/wiki/doku.php?id=av:playstationav
Seriously? Does the PS2 just default to YPbPr then? Because I never had to set it. What if you are using RGB, like with SCART?
@noiob Weird...
@onfy is it? it probably shipped with composite cables anyways
@noiob Shipped with composite here, not sure about elsewhere. I thought composite was a problem in SECAM countries at least.
@onfy why would it? VCRs usually only had composite
@onfy (okay, at some point a lot of them had Scart but that's just two composite cables in a trenchcoat in that case)
@noiob tbf VHS is inherently composite and as a result SECAM VHS exists... in fact there are two incompatible SECAM formats.
@noiob Well on PS1 I did get a picture, it was just screwed up.
Based on this pinout I think my guess was right, but maybe Y is connected to CVIDEO/SYNC. https://pinoutguide.com/Game/PlayStationAV_pinout.shtml
