I'm currently trying to parse PSX memory card files in and was wondering why the savefile for Grandia is marked as a Pocketstation executable (P instead of - in the shortcode). The reason is simple, Grandia supports the Pocketstation!

@noiob oh sick! I still need to try the FF8 pocketstation mini game since it's the only game we got that actually supports it lol

@tom I should get myself a Pocketstation *checks ebay* wait how do those not cost an arm and a leg

@noiob ikr! i picked one up for less than 10€ when I was in Japan

@noiob @tom Yeah, @ticky got one for super cheap recently - I was surprised they're not expensive!

@ticky @noiob @dog and these strange kinda accessories usually cost a fuckton

@dog @noiob @ticky it's super strange to me since I don't recall it being very popular? like, especially in the west

@tom @noiob @ticky Allegedly they shipped close to five million of the dang things in Japan, which is way more popular than I thought it was! archive.is/20120908010813/http

@ticky I wish I knew that! Might have to get myself an emulator and find out. Or an actual Pocketstation… I'm not sure about buying internationally on eBay though
