f.lux alternatives request
owwwww
I use f.lux just as 'software with screen dimming functionality' because that's surprisingly rare, so no colour-tweaking, no automatic time-of-day stuff required at all.
And it still goes "Hey!!! It's retina burning brightness time!!!" every single dawn.. Even with all that stuff switched off, even with timed-colour all set to the same level.. It messes up consistently. x_x
is there any Windows-compatible "just dim my screen, on my terms" software out there?
re: f.lux alternatives request
@multiple_creatures ah, that's kinda part of my problem
I just want to reduce brightness, and most software that advertises that just changes the colour temperature instead Windows Night Light just oranges my screen. x.x
(f.lux is one of the exceptions in that you can change the brightness and do it without skewing the hue into the orange range, but it's got this weird dawn bug I can't find a solution to ;w; )
RedShift says it has a software brightness setting as well as the temp stuff, so I will give that a poke, thanks! ^^

@pastelbat @multiple_creatures Having tried all of those, I'd recommend LightBulb. Does all the things! https://github.com/Tyrrrz/LightBulb
