I think I just work better in pencil + paper, which is rlly very annoying to me, because I keep wanting to do digital art! And it's so.. slow.

And part of that is just the texture isn't.. Right? It's too slippy, my lines go too fast & uncontrollable (Dysgraphia affects my drawing style a lot, this is likely also a result).

I wonder if I could put textured transparent-something over the surface and generate some resistance without being bumpy enough to mess up lines. Do people do that..?

We need to solve the patterns of power that caused our present, not just run away from it to a new frontier. A human race that exhibits internal growth and awareness, not just expanding physically until we fill the next-biggest pond.

Like, developing technology to get into space? That's the easy part. Developing a culture that doesn't just re-enact old atrocities and institutions with that technology, that is the greater challenge.

There's much of the SF fandom/STEM folks who have that kinda.. Techno-utopianism where getting into space is the endgoal in of itself

That doing so will solve all our problems

But like, that ignores the fact that we could feed, house, educate & clothe the planet with the technology & resources we already have.
