so i updated my tablet and found out why data redundancy is important. not only had i intentionally saved my 2-factor auth codes to another device and could easily export them post-update, i also accidentally backed up my tablet with google, so i could basically get running straight away
so... yeah. back up your stuff folks. and be good about 2fa or you will die

something i'd suggest everyone do if they're using 2fa: make sure your recovery codes are in the place you remember them, and if not, there's no harm in generating new ones.
