@thefishcrow @Ulfra_Wolfe@witches.town Seriously though I like everything about this game except for dialogue/animations needing a bit more polish and... yeah, the wolves.

@Ulfra_Wolfe@witches.town @thefishcrow Yeh and in a survival game, being stalked by wolves and getting little hints one or more is behind you but being unable to actually do anything about it would be hecking terrifying in the best way.

@thefishcrow @Ulfra_Wolfe@witches.town If I had my way the game would have a fifth as many wolves and they'd be way less likely to be randomly aggressive, but they'd *fuck you up* if they do decide to attack.

@Ulfra_Wolfe@witches.town @thefishcrow Oh yeah the wolves are bullshit. The game had a splash screen at the beginning saying "wolves aren't this aggro irl, it's for gameplay, be nice to wolves"

But I'd just rather the wolves be a bit less intense.

@thefishcrow It's pretty hecking cool imo. Definitely a game that demands/rewards patience.

Thing I lowkey appreciate about this game: your map is just a map, not a GPS. It's not even a very good map. You don't have a compass either. Getting disoriented or even lost is totally a thing that can happen.

If you played Firewatch and said "y'know, I wish this game had more hiking", The Long Dark may be a game for you :)

Okay, walking across a lake in The Long Dark and suddenly hearing creaking noises and seeing "WEAK ICE" flashing on the screen in red letters is one of the scariest things I've ever experienced in a videogame.
