Okay I'm still not sure if I'm actually _enjoying_ this book, but from a purely craft standpoint the writing is devastatingly effective. That's a cool thing :)

I feel like 12-20 hours of work a week would be perfect for me.

Me anytime I'm at work: "fuck this I can't wait to go home, can the day end early pls? I hate this and dread having every week be like this for years and years."

Me when I don't have a job: "This fucking sucks, I have nothing important to do all day and my mental health is falling apart."

Last night, I was chatting with someone new and they asked what kind of stuff I do for fun. I was able to answer "I make various kinds of art, sometimes" and feel like I was telling the truth. That was nice :)

Sometimes I wonder what kind of food people would make if they had all of the same basic ingredients but none of the accrued cultural knowledge.

I bet it would be pretty wild.
