Update: winter storm warning for this afternoon through tomorrow morning, and I'm planning on being back in Seattle tonight and at work the next day.
Fun!
Elite Dangerous, cool planet
I don't actually know if a planet like that could exist for long without boiling away?
That's hotter than the surface of the sun.

Sadly I didn't get a screengrab, but I found a wild planet the other day.
Metallic world orbiting _really_ close to a B-class star. 22 earth masses and 5.2G surface gravity.
...also a silicate-iron atmosphere at 17 million atm pressure, and a surface temperature of just under 10,000K.
...it wasn't visibly rendered as such, but that's a massive boiling ball of slag.

I couldn't resit one more screenhot of Veil Nebula West.
Also, I landed on an exceptionally mineral-rich planet in a system that was completely un-visited before I got there.

I'm looking at planet symbols and imo a lot more of them have potential as gender symbols https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Planet_symbols

Veil Nebula West.
One thing that really doesn't come across in screenshots is the scale of these nebulae. They're not clouds I'm zipping around or through, they're static background objects tens of light-years across. If I want to move relative to the nebula, I need to jump to another star system.
I'm definitely into low-violence games right now, really.
I'm glad there's lots of good options for that!
