original conception of this idea was no meta progression, like dcss and other "classic" roguelikes

but ive been playing hades and thinking

@typhlosion Classic permadeaþ is not used often any more, so one could use it to stand out, if desired.

Part of me wishes I could simply devote anoðer monþ plus to a second successful run of DCSS. I've not played since I beat it early morning New Year's Eve 2020 and by now I kind of miss it.

@typhlosion No (or maybe just not a lot of) meta-progression might be useful in terms of memory constraints? I don't know how constrained memory was for the SNES though.
