nes ponderings
ok so. i've got an NES-001, the front-loader kind. the front-loader mechanism is really annoying and i'd rather have a top-loader like the NES-101. HOWEVER. the NES-101 doesn't have most of the EXP pins (https://www.nesdev.org/wiki/EXP_pins) that can be used for things like expansion audio on the NES if you use something like an everdrive. i like expansion audio, i'd like to have a console that can use it! so this is an annoying conundrum

A puzzle indeed.
...I don't have a good enough knowledge of soldering/wiring to know whether there's any possibility of switching some of the internals

@typhlosion i have this type of adapter for my av famicom. it was very hard to find one back when i got it cus everyone wants to use famicom carts on nes not nes carts on fami xd

thinking more about this, i suppose i could get a famicom and a nes->famicom adapter (making sure to get an adapter that connects EXP6 to the audio in pin)
