ive been playing stardew valley a bit lately and because i'm me it's got me wondering why, despite all the different ways worldbuilders change their settings from reality, the week always tends to end up at seven days long. i mean, i know it's because of cultural prevalence from the... babylonians, i think?... but it stands out to me a little bit that that's one of the things that so seldom gets changed

@typhlosion Even in Dwarf Fortress which has an entirely novel calendar system, it still has seven-day weeks lol: dwarffortresswiki.org/index.ph (not that the day of the week is relevant for gameplay, probably why they didn't bother changing it)

@typhlosion That's true too, mostly just the month names and the length of the year that's different
