Also "beard" as the term for "a way to display my masculinity" In terms of dating someone cuz it means they're not actually your SO they're just there to deflect the idea of your being gay (like how a beard might be)

i remember when they introduced gay marriage in Fable 2.... I remember I had a beard wife who i doted on only when my family was around, and a real husband i doted on when they weren't bc i knew there was this concept of "something is wrong with loving a man". esp the part where you have sex lol
