i don't have a lot to add else in this whole thing because a lot of it at this point requires having experienced the game in order to get a feel for the actual problem outlined in Danielle's article

@jasminehenry there are so many ways to leverage death in a way that doesn't focus on queerness being the reason they die

all the queer stories that focus on this focus on leveraging that as a means to inform, to invoke sympathy, or to produce change. not to justify what some other character does in the story

@jasminehenry pretty much the exclusive problem i have with queer death is how much it's used by straight people

all the queer media i've ever consumed doesn't leverage queer death in a way to vindicate/empower a cishet person or make it a plot point that doesn't seem to accomplish anything other than killing off a queer character
