The next morning, laying on my towel in the guest bathroom, is an adjustable pronoun pin with the indicator set to "them."

Stayinf with friends in Seattle for a quick weekend trip. One asks about my "other" pin--the one on my coat next to the trans "Ally" pin--as she doesn't recognize it.

"Uh...do you have a half-hour?" I joke. "Heh...it's 'non-binary.'"

"Oh! Preferred pronouns?" she asks.

I blink a few times.

"Um...he/him is fine...."

An exaggerated pause as my brain reels; I've literally never been asked in-person before.

"...but...'they/them' makes me feel good..." I finally admit, blushing.

So, an "infant life vest" is a safety device meant to keep small, young humans afloat, and not--as I had assumed--a water-floatation garment consisting of several live, squirming babies taped together to harness their natural buoyancy.

While I won't say the previous two were bad, they're different. Rian did more classical, quasi-operatic vocals alongside Ian's angry nerd shouting, but after the second, Ian and Rian broke-up (in more ways than one, they were engaged), Ian taught himself guitar, got another co-vocalist (Wendy Yanko?), and put out an album about personal betrayal, self-hatred, and the GW Bush administration. XD

"Tyranny of the Majority" is a 4th album from 2011 but it was never finished (meant to have vocals, but is instrumental. Free internet release.) When I say "last" I'm referring to Strain. =)
