childhood nightmare (slightly ridiculous) 

Just recalled a brief nightmare from childhood (1980s) that was likely influenced by all the Sesame Street I watched:

A letter (yes, from the alphabet) floated into my room in the dark, a disembodied voice chanting it's name as it bobbed closer.

It was the letter "T."

The nominative and accusative cases are the most fundamental, and in most instances they mark the subject and direct object of a verb: Example 4.1.1 ikisunih k‘aluh knaloqs “The caribou scavenged the berries.” Margin text: As stated previously, a subject noun would usually be attached to a verb, however the verb ``scavenge'' and the noun ``caribou'' are separated in Example 4.1.1 for demonstrative purposes. In Example 4.1.1, the ending -uh marks the word ``caribou'' as the subject of the sentence, while the ending -ōqś (with the plural ś) marks the word ``berry'' as the direct object. The accusative case can be used in more complex ways, as will be discussed later.
