after having done webdev for a few years, i now feel like the ios ui paradaigm is absolute garbage and should be phased the fuck out in favor of like,,,, react or sth

xcodes ui designer seems to just sometimes randomly make my laptop freeze and crash

is there anyone on an instance with a character limit that's NOT the default 500, who would be ok sending me an invite?

i want to try to fix a bug in Metatext that depends on that, but all 3 of my existing accounts are on instances that kept the default 500 chars ​

(i probably won't use the new account other than just connecting to it and creating private posts)

really proud of myself for doing that coding work today despite my aging computer freezing up and crashing(!) twice(!!) and despite not having done ios dev in almost a decade(!!!)

despite the difficulties i managed to code a feature (that i mimicked from glitch-soc, which awoo.space uses) including copying over the translations that glitch-soc already had! time to do a final test and write a pr
