As predicted, I am not dealing great with the state of things and will probably indulge myself in a minimal-energy day.
All I can say is, as good as the opposition is at exploiting the rules in their favor, we still solidly outnumber them. Maybe it's time to start living as if they're in an entirely different nation, and their laws have absolutely no authority over us, because that's probably where this is all headed anyhow.
Live in a way that unnerves them. That's all I got.

@zebratron2084 in 10-20 years the enemy’s current victory will be almost mythical. The kids will learn about how nearly everyone hated this government and it played out in big protests as well as increased interest in small communities and optimism. It’s our job, as Old Farts, to ensure that the enemy can’t whitewash what they did under 45, Dubya and Reagan alike. If we survive, the kids will listen to us and they’ll know the truth.

@Leucrotta You should know that this comment actually did quite a lot to improve my mood. *hug* (And so did the suggestion to bite something, although I HATE non-fried okra. :) Peg took me for biscuits and gravy at the 5-star brunch place down the street, though. so I did effectively take your advice and that helped too. 🐯)

@zebratron2084 much as I’m about the pickles I miss biscuits and gravy, so that sounds awesome! (The Lady time I had biscuits and gravy was at Biscuit Bitch near the market- no dairy, and it was SO GOOD.) Currently waiting for breakfast here, too! *hugs*

(And if you're thinking, "Hmmm, I should reply to this with an insistence that jackbooted federal thugs are certain to roll down the street and crack our heads for the slightest dissent at any moment," maybe you should take a moment to ponder which is a more immediate danger: a senile emperor with a pompadour, or a nine-foot-tall tiger with no remaining patience for defeatism. >:D )
