@anthracite If raccoons were a standard PC race in AD&D, I would've done a LOT more gaming in my time... :p
Or maybe we can convince one of the locals offering to GM for us to switch to Gamma World...
Or fuck, maybe I'LL run Gamma World in-between Parallax chapters...
@mmsword @anthracite Uh, yeah, but I didn't get very far due to interface/hardware issues. Maybe someday when I have a desktop and a proper num-pad keyboard! What little I did see entirely lived up to its imposing reputation though!
@mmsword @anthracite You know me. That sounded like... work. So I ate a fish, took a nap, and played 67 hours of nice familiar Slay The Spire instead. :>
@mmsword @anthracite I mean, I can't pretend that isn't exactly what I'm looking for in a gaming experience. To the letter. :D
@Leucrotta @anthracite I'd seen it and been curious about it but it was during one of those "I can't afford the money-cost variety!"</coach_z> periods of my life. :) I'm tempted to see if I can just find a PDF of the cards or something and see if I can crib any good ideas from it. I love card mechanics in RPGs.
@zebratron2084 @anthracite it leaned into goofy, which honestly isn’t a bad tone for any setting where you can wear armor made from football padding and stop signs.
@zebratron2084 @anthracite did you ever see 4e Gamma World? I know people HATED it, but I liked it. Obviously there were animal people, raccoons included, but it had a card game aspect where you’d constantly gain and play weird mutations.
